Having lived in Forest Hills for a number of years, I can certainly vouch for how beautiful the gardens are. If there was one place I’d love to raise a family in NYC, it would have to be Forest Hills Gardens. Come out of the subway system, walk towards the LIRR overpass, and prepare to be transported to a place that has no resemblance to NYC whatsoever. Seriously folks.. the minute you pass the LIRR station, you’ll feel like you’re in some old school New England town - complete with cobblestone streets (although they’re not everywhere of course). Very cool stuff. Thanks to my sis for this info.
