You might know him better as Sulu but George Takei is his real name and he recently announced that he’s actually gay and has had a partner for 18 years. This admission came out in the current issue of Frontiers - a biweekly Los Angeles magazine covering the gay and lesbian community. 18 yrs.. wow some couples can’t even last 18 months. Go George!

William actually sent me the link which apparently was on the front page of CNN on Thursday. I guess it was a slow news day that day.
