Weekend highlights
Boy this was an action packed weekend - it’s Monday and my body is still feeling the after effects of a long weekend of activities. Here’s a recap.
Friday night - Yvonne and I go to Dodger Stadium to watch the Mets play the Dodgers.. (GO METS!) Victor Zambrano was pitching the game that night so I knew we had a potentially long game ahead of us and sure enough, it was! The Mets blew a 6-3 lead and the Dodgers eventually won the game 7-3 in extra innings. BOO! The Dodgers took the entire series 2 games to 1 as they beat the Mets on Sunday also (Pedro lost a no hitter and game). Here are the pics to the game
Sat - Yvonne and I both got a deep tissue massage over at Cote D’Azur Spa in Pasadena.. and man that felt pretty good. I really needed some relaxation after a few months of craziness at work and the massage definitely helped. Thanks Yvonne for getting me the massage! The only weirdness was probably having a huge guy manhandle my back.. but I quickly got over that one.
After the massage, there was DSTS volleyball practice at Fairfax - damn Curtis and the pushups I had to do! That was followed by a dinner over at Annie’s place in Cerritos. It was an early night sat because…
On Sunday, we ran the 5K Samurai run over in Little Tokyo. The run started at roughly 8am and had nearly 1000 participants I think. I finished the 5K in 29.45 (roughly a 9:3x minute mile) and placed 393.. After the run, we showered up and headed on over to Culver City where Adam’s second softball stop was taking place. My team got crunched by the opposing team (forgot the score now) but it was fun fielding ground balls nevertheless. Heck I even hit a softball over Curtis’s head near the end. But wait - there’s more! We finished the day off by heading out to Hermosa beach for some food and vball. Well.. the rest of the folks played vball while I sat back and relaxed. I took a walk to the water and stood in the water as the waves slowly came ashore.. definitely a nice relaxing way to end the busy weekend.
The month only gets crazier!
