Build your own Windows Media Center PC

I just wanted to mention that I posted up a new article on Krunker.com about how to build your very own Windows Media Center Edition 2005 PC. I created one using a Pentium M based motherboard and an Ahanix case. The machine actually has been up and running since the end of February but I didn’t get a chance to finish the article until now. Quite honestly, I love the MCE box - it’s quiet, responsive, and just plain works! It’s actually quite amazing how stable the system has been. I’ve had no problems whatsoever and I would highly recommend anyone geeky enough to build an HTPC to consider building an MCE platform. There are other choices out there and you should check them out too.

So what’s my next HTPC project? Hopefully a slimmer case or maybe a case with a front panel LCD using a dual core processor? HOPES and DREAMS…

Nice article, thanks for sharing the build with us. I like the use of the Pentium M processor to keep noise down.

Thanks for the comment Korey! Now if Intel would only release a dual core Pentium M CPU sometime soon. :)
