Fun and crazy weekend..
This past weekend was a fun weekend of sports as Yvonne and I were involved in baseball, volleyball and softball. The weekend started off on Friday night with the Yankees/Angels game in Anaheim. Unfortunately the Yanks lost 6-3 that night with Al Leiter pitching for the Yanks. However, it was a fun night anyhow with many of the crowd chanting “Let’s go Yankees!” Many thanks to Adam for getting us free tix to the game!
On Sat, Yvonne and I played at the Happy Cowz outdoor 4 person grass tourney. It was ridiculously hot that day but we had a ton of fun in the sun! Our team didn’t make the playoffs but we put up a decent fight nevertheless. I got promptly sunburned and yes.. I am still in pain right now.
On Sunday, Yvonne and I headed out to Hermosa Beach to hang out at the beach, play some vball, and check out the AVP Open. We didn’t get a chance to see the womens’ finals but we did check out some of the vendors booths there. I then headed off to a USC softball practice game out on the east side. I’m slowly rediscovering softball again as a possible pastime to play in. I haven’t really been involved with softball since my days at Intel so it’s nice to be into it again here. The USC vs UCLA softball game will be on Aug. 6th so I hope to help out USC in some way or another.
That was it for the weekend. Lots of fun and lots of sun!
