My First Angels Game
Let’s make this clear - I’m a New York Mets fan all the way.
ok having said that, I went to my first Angels game on thursday night and it was loads of fun. The Angels were playing the Cleveland Indians and they ended up winning 6-5 in extra innings. Cleveland jumped out to a 5-0 lead by the end of the 2nd but the Angels chipped away throughout the game and then tied it up in the ninth with a clutch bloop single by Garrett Anderson. In the 10th, Orlando Cabrera homered to win the game for the Angels.
Ok.. enough about the game - the stadium itself is pretty darn nice. Here’s a shot of the stadium from afar.

Here’s a picture of the field on the inside:

One of the weirder things that I had the priviledge of watching was the “rally monkey”. What is the rally monkey? It’s basically what most people call the rally cap except.. it’s a monkey jumping up and down holding a sign etc. If you ask me.. the monkey is a bit scary looking. Almost like something out of 28 days later. Oh well.
Many thanks to Yvonne for getting the tix for this game (here’s a picture of us).

Loads of fun .. must go watch another Angels game again. Of course, now that the Mets are performing well, I wish I was back in NYC watching games at Shea. Let’s go Mets! Let’s go Angels! Let’s go Dodgers?? Hmm not sure about that one.
